About Rested Review
Rested Review is a plain-English sleep information site for adults in the UK, edited by Amy Lewis. Who it is for, how guides are made and what it is not.
Plain-English help for adults who can’t sleep
Rested Review is for adults in the UK who aren’t sleeping well. Maybe you can’t get to sleep, you wake at 3am, or you wake up tired after a full night in bed. Maybe a blocked nose, restless legs, night-time trips to the loo or a partner’s snoring keeps disturbing you. Poor sleep affects both men and women, at every age and for many different reasons.
Each guide sets out to answer three questions:
- What is probably going on?
- What is safe to try tonight?
- When is it time to see a GP or pharmacist?
Who runs the site
The site is edited by Amy Lewis. Amy chooses the topics, checks each guide against its sources and decides what gets published. Amy is not a doctor or medical professional, and the guides are not written by clinicians.
How the guides are made
- Topics come from the questions people actually search for when they can’t sleep.
- Health information is checked against sources such as the NHS and NICE. Every guide links to its sources, so you can read them yourself.
- Guides are written with AI assistance and checked against those sources before publishing. They have not been reviewed by a doctor.
- Every guide says when a problem needs professional help, and that comes before any tip.
- Guides are updated when guidance changes or when a mistake is found.
More detail is on the how guides are made page.
